Jackie Evancho and Juliet Evancho and Trump's Inauguration

Jackie Evancho has been mocked and criticized by the self-proclaimed tolerant Left because she will be singing the national anthem at the inauguration of the 45th president of the United States.

From the Associated Press:

Singer Jackie Evancho says she hopes people will set aside politics while she's performing the national anthem at Donald Trump's inauguration "and just think about the pretty song."

Evancho says in an interview for "CBS Sunday Morning" she hopes her performance will bring people together and "make everyone forget about rivals and politics for a second."

The 16-year-old singer has caught some criticism for agreeing to sing at the inauguration. But she rejects the idea she is tacitly accepting Trump's agenda or intolerance for LGBT rights.

Her sister, Juliet Evancho, was born Jacob and is transgender.

Juliet Evancho tells CBS her sister "is singing for our country and it's an honor for her to be singing in front of so many people."

This is quite a revelation.

Jackie's sister was born her brother. Juliet is transgender.

Juliet says Jackie "is singing for our country and it's an honor for her to be singing in front of so many people."

Obviously, Juliet has an open mind and is exhibiting tolerance, not to mention being a loving, supportive sister to Jackie.

Question: When did President-elect Trump show an intolerance for LGBT individuals and their rights as Americans and as human beings? I honestly don't recall. Is it his defense of the Bill of Rights and freedom of religion? That certainly should not automatically be construed to be an assault on the LGBT community.

Jackie Evancho is a very brave young woman for not backing down when faced with a tremendous amount of pressure from the bullying, intolerant Leftists. She's tougher than many performers two, three, four, five times her age who might want to perform at events for the U.S. presidential inauguration but are too fearful, giving in to pressure from the Leftist mob, buckling to their intolerance and hatred.

Performers with Leftist views should participate in the inaugural events to remind citizens that a diversity of opinions exists but it doesn't have to divide us as a nation. Performing would be an indication that they aren't abandoning their positions as valid and they intend to work with the new administration to promote their views. That's a novel idea.

Jackie Evancho has made it clear that her performance is about the UNITED States, not a political party or an individual.

I will be cheering when Jackie sings our national anthem.
